Reaper for Macs

From RBN/C3 Documentation

There are some Reaper for Mac specific settings that you need to use. We are working on an installer like the one we have for PCs, but until that is done, here are some things you need to change manually (Figure 1):

  • 480 ticks per quarter: go to Options/Preferences/MIDI in Reaper and set the ticks per quarter note for new MIDI items to 480.
  • While you're there, change the MIDI octave name display offset to -1 if it isn't already set that way.

If you get an error which says "Halting compilation due to missing and/or extraneous MIDI tracks", even though you know that your tracks are there, this is probably caused by a setting in Reaper that you'll also need to change. Reaper applies a small fade to the beginning of each track that's making your track names not export properly.

Go to Options/Preferences/Defaults. Make sure that fade length is set to 0 and the 2 enable loop source checkboxes are unchecked. You may also have to zoom in on the beginnings of your tracks and remove any fades, but changing this setting should take care of that (Figure 2).

Check out Reaper for info on manually setting the colormaps so that your "green" notes will be green, and your "red" notes will be red, and so on.
